Ah, you ARE here, sweet! I don't remember seeing your screen name on your nametag, so it threw me off.
Man, you TOTALLY scored on that cab and I'm SOOOoooo jealous of that tone!!!! I think it was fate, and that cab was just waiting for you. "I'M NOT FOR SALE... Except to him!" lol Makes me think I need to revisit my V4B as a gigging option.
We'll definitely need gigging reports when you get it out in the wild, that's for sure!

Woody, My little Black Sunshine is a bit of a diamond in the rough, it seems. I learned a lot of history behind her and I didn't realize she even had potential for having one! 
Who was it that was telling me all that stuff? I'm so sorry that I can't remember your name or screen name I'm glad you guys had fun checking her out! That kind of surprised me. I was thinking that the pretty Schecter was going to get all the attention and here the 'ugly little sister' stole the spotlight! 
Tonight I'm going to have my practice time with her to really hear how much better these new strings are. If I can get over the squished feeling from switching back from the full size!
That Meatsmoke really did have a meaty sound! My pants cuffs were rattling and my insides were getting all jiggly. It was mind blowing! 
BTW, who was the cat who demo'd the Surine bass? I would love to hear more of that!

Okay, so I really can't say it any better than people already have, so I'll keep it short and sweet: Great time, great people, great gear, Dan's AWESOME, so's the shop and I'm glad those that could make it did! Looking forward to next time.
Eric's right, Premier is pretty much equal parts hangout spot and candy store. I can't make it up there during the week, but whenever I've been there on a Saturday, I'm always there for at least a couple hours just shooting the breeze with the crew. And see #3 below... like Kurt said, if you hang out long enough, you'll go home with something. lol
Highlights for me were (in no particular order and aside from meeting cool people/players):
1) the Verellen/Glockenklang (duh). Show-stopper.
2) Seeing B's face with her first new strings. You'll always remember your first time!
3) All the 1x12's, even though I didn't get to play as many as I wanted. Debating new rig options (downsizing though... Sorry Zachoff, no 8x10 for me!), so I think one of the next couple weekends may have to be a (mini) 1x12 shootout I was too excited to do at the GTG. Kid in a candy store, with all the cool people and gear.
4) Derrellvis sighting. Kinda like... Big Foot and Don Juan combined. Awwwwwwww yeaaaaah!
5) Checking out the other Carvin basses there
6) Inazone's Clevinger upright

The Schecter looks like her strings were new when I got her, but she was a slightly used model from GC and nobody could tell me for sure what exactly the strings were or how old they were.
Oh well, no matter, come the month of October she will be wearing the ghs Bassics. Then I will know for certain which strings they are, where they came from, and who put them on! *happy sigh*

I know for me, I need to find a way to come home with that Mesa M9 as a counterpart to my Titan.
I first saw Surine Basses back in the Guitar-x days and have been wanting one since. Watching Maylon play his made me think I should pay for some lessons first.

Oh, trust me, I've done my fair share of that! I tend to swing in on week days when I can sneak away from work, which is probably why I didn't recognize many folks yesterday.
That place is world class, and we're really lucky to have it here in Colorado. I'll make a point of coming in some Saturday soon!

I do have Matt Human's trio gig on my calendar. That is on Sat 3 Aug from 5-7 pm. Hopefully I can leave early enough to hang out for a while before the gig starts. If I don't get there early I may grab some Joe from the Siren next door after the event.

Well, if you can make it, I'll be bringing my board and amp to do the shootout, so you're welcome to try out my pedalboard for sure.
The advice I give to anyone new to effects: start off with a decent multi-effects pedal, especially if you don't know what's out there, what you want or need. I've been particularly impressed with the Zoom B3 as a multi unit. I picked one up on a whim for my birthday and it's a great sounding little box for $175 (got it on one of Musicians Friends never ending sales). Lots of pretty darn good sounding effects, a rhythm trainer/metronome, phrase sampler, DI, functions as a recording interface, patch management software... For about the price of one pedal, you'd get a whole slew of stuff to start you out.
I'll throw it in my car on Saturday and if you can make it, you can sure check it out!

I'm fortunate to have a couple boards with some fairly boutique stuff, and I've been pretty impressed with the B3 so far. It does have a bit of a learning curve (definitely use the Edit & Share software!), but I think it'd be a great place to start for anyone just getting into effects. I need to spend more time with it, but I can totally see it as my travel "board" or my "I'm lazy and can put it in the pocket of my gig bag" board. lol

I know you wanted to check out that B3 and ran out of time... Same offer stands for you, I'll bring it on Saturday when I do my 1x12 thing if you want to check it out further!
