Are you going to have your Fusion 550 there? I really want to try one of these out.
I will be bringing my pre-Fender SWR Big Foot (2x12) and my SWR 550X Head along with my Stingray 4H and my Bongo 5HS.
Well, I guess I better chime in since Nick took the time to PM about the GTG. I'd been watching the thread, but I'm worried that a gig will pop up.
In any case, I'm in Dublin, OH, the northwest corner of Columbus. As of right now, I have no gig on the 1st, so I can probably make it. I also have a friend who's on TB and I'm checking with him, too.
If I don't have a gig, I'll bring everything I've got:
Aguilar DB 680
Aphex 661 compressor
X-2 XDR
Genz-Benz 610T-XB2
pedals--Micro POG, MXR Blowtorch, Fulltone Bassdrive 2, EBS BassIQ, t.c. electronics SCF
Status Stealth 5-string headless (w. Alumitone Bass Bar pickup)
Modulus Quantum Sweet Spot 5 (since no one will buy it!)
Warwick Fortress One 5 (w. Q-Tuner BS pickups)
Whew!
If I get a gig for that night, I may need to downsize a bit.
Sounds like a good location, though. I'm up for anything lunch wise. Perhaps it would be best to bring in some pizzas as opposed to going out so as to not take up valuable gear time. I'm also up for seeing Mr. Bowlus that night if I'm not gigging myself.

I have a request for you funk/slappers out there.
I have been trying to learn Flex by Victor Wooten, and I just cant get the main bass line. I play funk, and my slapping skills are weaker than they should be. Double stops, etc.
IF someone knows it, or could learn the main line, then show me it, I would be in debt.

I know the slap portion but all that other stuff, well......I fall short. I can show you the slap portion of it. It's not that hard. You'll have it down in 10 minutes. I learned it in 5.

Yep, it'll be there. I've been wanting to try the Bongo HS for a while (only have tried HH's).

Its the slap portion, but the really fast false pops and slaps are what kill me. I need to get better at that stuff.
I would suggest against this, especially pizza. Nobody wants greasy pizza fingers on their stuff. If we do lunch or something, we should do it either before or after this I would think. Or at least if somebody could think of food that wouldn't leave a residue.

That's probably a better idea but getting everybody to agree on what to put on them would be entertaining.
Put me down for a "maybe." Depends on work. I usually have to work Saturdays, but I may end up with it off. I can't request it or call in "sick" (gas attack???), I can't afford any more time off...
