Come on another expensive Fender

"This highly collectible Fender Jazz bass has had heavy relic treatment to show how much abuse these basses can take, and still sound as amazing as the day you first got it. The road-worn finish on the Fender Mastbuilt J-bass makes it look like it has seen decades of hard-rockin', or that it looks like it's been pulled from the depths of Chernobyl. Still, nothing stops the Fender Jazz bass; it's an instrument that truly gets better with age."

LOL!

Oh wow... That is pretty awful.

EDIT: Whoa whoa whoa.. They ACTUALLY referenced the Chernobyl accident AS A SELLING POINT? I'm sorry but that's just horrible.

"Look at this Fender Jazz Bass! It looks as though it survived 9/11 in the basement of the North Tower!"

or

"This Fender Jazz Bass survived the ovens at Auschwitz!"

Seriously.. Just awful, insensitive.. I can't believe they would use such a horrible accident as a selling point. That's just low.

Maybe they're trying to get Joe Osborn back in the Fender fold. It looks a lot like his ancient Jazz bass. But then I can still get a Lakland JO (or a 44-60 until the new owners get the endorsement deals straightened out) for a whole lot less than $7K, and I'll be able to destroy the finish myself!

John

That is terrible! I guess you are supposed to believe that an aged Fender looks like your arm spontaneously combusted leaving your pickguard, pickups, bridge, and control plate completely untarnished?

I pity the fool who falls for this one...
