Hello all. I'm looking to add a compressor pedal to my current rig. I'm looking for any preferences or suggestions on compressor pedals. I know they can range in price fom $99 to $249 or more. I've been looking at the MXR Bass Compressor, Pigtronix, BBE Opticomp & Veracomp, Diamond bass compressor, and the whirlwind bass compressor. Any suggestions?

You will not find a better resource than ovnilab.com, PLUS Bongomania, the esteemed & learned gentleman behind ovnilab is coming out with his own compressor, which looks downright BAD@$$! I have an FEA Labs Dual Band Comp/Limiter, which is outstanding and I highly recommend, and I'm still going to get a Smoothie in the very near future...

It mostly depends on the specific results you want to get from the comp. Do check out my reviews (OVNILab), but also it can help to write down the specific things you hope to hear from the pedal, in order to narrow down which pedals will even do those things (or do them well).
I would knock the BBE pedals off the list, they impressed me at one time with the Opto model, but not anymore.
I have tried a lot of compressors lately. It really depends on what U want your compressor for, but here goes.
In your price range, My 3 choices onvifx smoothie (just spent an hour with it, fantastic) mxr m87 (great comp for surgical, not noticeable) mark bass or 3 leaf pwnzor
