The majority of overdrive, distortion, and fuzz pedals out there are under $200, covering virtually every sound under the sun. So... you still need to figure out what exactly you're looking for. Or, at least help us help you.

Since you have Garageband, why not record a clip of what you're hearing? Then it'll be a piece of cake to help you out.

iTunes can convert to MP3, it has that function built in. You drag the MP4 onto your desktop, then set your iTunes preferences so that incoming tracks are saved as MP3s, then drag the track back into iTunes. It will be saved as an MP3.

You Mac users ARE lazy though. You go out and buy a computer that won't fall apart on you just so you don't have to take the time to learn how to reformat and debug your comp once a month

We're not lazy, were just like to spend USING our computer rather than fixing it

Yep, when downloaded. That tone is very synthy. Using a synthy, gated-type buzzsaw type fuzz like the MXR Blowtorch or the ZVex Woolly Mammoth in conjunction with a filter would get you close.
