How often do you think Babys are born exactly 9 months to the day from Conception to Birth?

Speaking in terms of probability....basically never.
  3. With premature births, c-sections and the like, I agree with Will's statement - probably never.

I happened to be born two weeks premature, for example.
  4. probably 99.83% of the time

ok, but really... i have to agree with the other guys. so.... one in a million?

    why one in a million?

you figure there is a 2 month span that a baby could be born (one month early to one month late)

    that's about 60 days..

so wouldn't the odds be around 1 in 60?

I'd say it's probably pretty rare. The human gestation period is appx. 266 days (I work with several pregnant women  ), and 266 days/9 months comes out to just about 29.5 days per month. Calender-wise, the average number of days in a month is just under 30.5 (365/12). Going off of this, I'd feel pretty darn confident that very few are born exactly 9 months from conception.
However, since the durations of the 12 months aren't uniform, I would guess that there's probably certain days of year when its more likely.
  9. Let's go with one in a million. Everyone understands that. :smug:

The amount of time it takes is usually 40 weeks from our experience and what the doctors told us, which is already over nine months.
  12. Apparently human gestation is 266 days with a standard deviation of 16 days (approximately). Anyway, you can figure it out from there if you want.
  13. Only once. After that the baby keeps growing and it's near impossible to get it back into the womb! ;)

How could even know for sure, so that you could track it. I don't think they can do a test that nails the exact date of conception, yet.
