I can tell the difference between a bass, a guitar and a tuba. That's about it, and I'm actually quite happy about that. I'd much rather spend my time wondering if I should pedal the root or do a nice pentatonic riff than if the lower mids need a 2dB boost.

Somehow that seems more productive.
