the silver medal meant NOTHING in this particular game. as a proud american i congratulate my northern neighbors. cheers!!!
What an awesome game. The wife, youngest son and myself were out and we had stopped into an Applebee's for some food. I had no idea the game was on. Duh...
We're sitting eating when someone changed the channel on the big screen tv near the bar...within about 5 mins every male in the place (including myself and my 4 year old son) congregated around the bar tv and watched the game. Total strangers..we're high-fiving each other, screaming, jeering, cheering..
Yeah Canada won, but we made 'em earn it! Congrats Canada.
But on a sappy note - that's what the Olympics are all about. Great game and it brought some total strangers together for a little while, cool stuff. We'll get you next time Canada!

As a proud Canadian living here in America, I say Team USA played an outstanding game and have earned a ton of respect and admiration throughout the hockey world. I also predict US goalie Ryan Miller will someday be in the Hockey Hall of Fame. But, having said that,

I haven't signed on to TB in a while but had to for this - Canada played a hell of a game and deserves the gold. Congrats.
That was a very hard fought game from beginning to end - both teams played with a lot of heart and it showed. While I wish the results would have been different, it was a well deserved win. Congratulations, Canada.
