When you consider that the US has 330 million people and Canada has 33 million we've done extremely well.

While I congradulate the US and Germany for getting the most medals in the games overall, Canada did quite well considering we have way less people to draw from.

I am not a sports fan, but I couldn't help being mesmerized by the last period and OT on the big screen at the gig I was playing.

Something tells me this gold medal for hockey means more to Canadians in general compared to the US.

Boys and Girls, I'm Canadian, as is pretty plain to see by my username. I'm very proud of the Canadian boys for the hard work they put together in this tournament. They fought hard and won the gold medal against a very worthy opponent. The US team also fought hard and should make their country proud as well.
Now, what bothers me is the stupidity that goes on when something like this happens. Not stupidity with the athletes, but stupidity with normal everyday citizens like members of this forum. Instead of congratulations we get people posting stupid posters. It doesn't matter which side of this you're on, there is no need for this kind of crap.
So, as a gesture from a true Canadian....contrats to the US hockey team for making this a game worth winning. You guys fought hard in coming back from a 2 goal deficit to take this game into overtime. Miller was the best goalie in the Olympics by far. Great tournament and a great game.

Yeehaw!!!! Way to go Crosby. One more thing he has now that AO doesn't. Hahahahahahahaha!!!

Too bad Kane and Parise were the only offensive threats on the USA side today. Dustin Brown showed flashes here and there, but the USA was just outgunned this go around. That and a stifling Canadian defense. The Canadian forecheck was most impressive as well.

One thing I learned this last couple weeks, I like Rafalski more now than I did before. I still don't like Rick Nash though, nothing to do with him being Canadian. I just don't get the hype.

it used to be a really good game when there were fewer teams.too much water in the wine.....huge players, rule changes and defensive strategy play has really slowed it down,which is odd because individual skill levels have gone up
