Conklin Groove Tools 5 String question...

I moved recently after graduating and while in college I had a Fender MIM Jazz Bass (nothing special and I wasnt a very serious player due to school) but I sold it due to the fact that I was moving. Lately I have had an itch to play and down the street from my house there is a Conklin GT 5 string for $399. Is it worth it?? I have played it a few times and I still can't decide it seems like a good deal...

I have one, and it's a very good bass. Build quality and stability are excellent. I like the tone and feel, but that's very personal. Try it.

I'm pretty sure they are made by Cort. My Conklin Prestia edition was. Cort quality is fantastic, just read thru the Cort thread!! You might post a question regarding the Conklin there??
