Cool "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" video.

Did anyone else ever try and rob/slaughter the skooma den? I love playing Dark Hand+Thieve's Guild characters. Good security points (the lock on the front is a hard one), good sneak points (sneakin' around like, 5 people) and trying to get quiet 1 hit kills is so hard -- I'd recommend using Sufferthorn + a strong poison and at least a Journeyman in sneak.

With a good mercantile skill, you can sell skooma for crazy gold.

ya i robed the skooma den. it was fun i needed up slaughtering the hole place tho

Yeah, I hated the quest where you had to go through like, 7 Oblivion gates so the towns would back you in the big push. Too many dull, red environments and dingy towers.

I didn't mind that quest. I don't usually do it (I've had millions of characters), but I did it on my 2nd last one. OMG!!! Never again...

It was the last thing I did on that character. So I was around lvl 28, went to do the Anvil gate and COULDN'T DO IT!!! It was WAY too hard... Basically the only enemies in there were Storm and Frost Atronach's, and LOADS of Clannfears... and I DO mean LOADS. It was just way too hard, it was one of those ones where you have to go through a series of about 8 tunnels to get to the main tower. I died about 50 times trying to get through. Got mid-way, had no potions, no spells (was a Khajiit), no working weapons or amour.

... started a new character. :rollno:

Yup, I do that as soon as my character can murder people in their sleep without them waking up. Means I don't have to buy a house. Just drag all the bodies into a corner, and hey presto! Free Skooma Den!!! :D

They ought to bring it out for the 360! :D

I hear the best way to do the game is to do the main game ASAP when all the oblivion gates hold little ittle bitty guys.

I hate Oblivion Gates. Why can't I just play as a fighter/assassin who does a little bit of magic?

Also, for those who don't cheat but need money...it's all in potions. *NEVER* make alchemy a major skill. I gain so many ranks in alchemy that I'd be levelling all the time if it was a major skill. Even so, every level I can add +5 to my intelligence.

I just get every ingredient I can and make as many potions as I can. Also enjoy the arena (haven't quite finished it, the game kept CTDing at this point with this character) so I end up using a lot of poisons and health potions.

Also training up my destruction, restoration, illusion, and alteration. Alteration is the bomb. You can get a shield spell, one that makes you breathe underwater, all sorts of stuff. And illusion is sick for assassins because it has Shadow Shape, Invisibility, etc. -- all sickass spells for assassins.

I'm trying to do the assassin missions as undetected as possible. I still haven't missed a special item on the quests -- the first time around I missed the Scales of Judgement, which are a nice item (levelled bonus to 3 stats). I just can't wait to get that bow and the horse. It's pretty sweet.

Well Oblivion is my favorite game i own atm.

When I played Morrowind, my favorite race was Breton.
I loved the fact that i was Nerevar!

I had the GotY Edition so I had also killed like... two or three Gods.. I think I had spared Vivec.

Anyways, Oblivion is a good game, my new favorite race is Dunmer!
I have a level 29 "God" Class Dunmer, My main armor is the Crusader's armor.

The only negative about the Crusader's armor is that if you kill a couple people you have to go to all of the shrines and give penance for it... :crying:

Also... On Morrowind i had Hircine's ring (allows you to transform into werewolf anytime)...

but you could only become a vampire once... :bassist:

on Oblivion it's like.. repeatedly getting that stupid disease... it's not fun. :hyper:

Vivec was a complete bitch to kill, but it's certainly possible. Load up on sujamma (I think that's the potion, it temporarily increases your strength and dramatically decreases magic temporarily). Take about 10 of those and Vivec will go down.

Though, I think it's pretty obvious you are NOT supposed to kill a god in the game. Thread of destiny etc.
