This group opened the Grammys with a cover of Randy Newman's "I Love LA": Sheryl Crow, Brittany Howard, St. Vincent, Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, John Legend and Brad Paisley.

I wonder who the woman on bass was. She's more of a trailblazer than Carol Kaye, especially in those more conservative times and that particular social milieu, although I've seen a female fiddler and steel guitarist in old "Ranch Party" videos, plus Rose Maddox before that occasionally playing upright.

No idea, but would like to know her name and who else she played with.
