Jim Irsay with the 1964 Stratocaster that Bob Dylan once played at the Newport Festival.

Does he not have a lot of very collectable / famously owned guitars? I thought I read he has bought many when they come up for auction

It looks that way. He has one of Jerry Garcia's Doug Irwin customs behind him.
I had no idea who he was, and looked him up; can't say I'm too impressed, just another 1%'er with his trophies. Oh, and I guess he died today.

I saw Sun Ra live twice, once around 1975 in Madison, WI and once in Chicago around 1980. The Chicago show absolutely blew me away. I went to the second show that night. It started around midnight and finished about 3am. I never felt tired or bored. Most of the members of the Arkestra were playing African instruments. The 3 ladies singing lead and background vocals were super. The African clothing everyone was wearing was gorgeous. Sun Ra came out about 12:30, sat at his keyboard and jammed for 2 1/2 hours straight. Music from the cosmos. So cool. So unique.
