KISS on Sept. 28 1973 @ Le Tang Studios, Manhattan. it was the first concert they did in NYC, with mostly friends and family there, but notably a few who were interested in signing and Producing them; Bill Aucoin, Joyce Biawitz, Sean Delaney, Neil Bogart, Kenny Kerner and Richie Wise. the latter two were fresh off their High School venture with the Brooklyn power trio DUST, they eeked out a pair of bruising albums. their lead guitarist / vocalist / leader, Wise was chomping at the bit to move on to studio work exclusively and brought along the band's lyricist / guru, Kerner. they ended up Producing the first 2 KISS LPs.

upon entering the US for the first time, Black Sabbath got caught up in Customs after Ozzy told officials that his religion was "Satan." after supposed opening sets by The James Gang, Jethro Tull and Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath rolled in at 1am. their debut show at Glassboro State College on Oct. 30 1970 was long past curfew so they didn't even do a sound check, but without having changed their amps from higher UK voltage it blew out the sound system 30 seconds into the show. they went back on, again played the intro to N.I.B. and blew out power in all of Glassboro. if that's not Spinal Tap Rock n Roll, what is?
