This is local Cleveland Icon Glenn Schwartz. He passed away late last week after a long and tumultuous career in the biz.
He was a founding member of the James Gang, replaced by then friend Joe Walsh when he moved to California to join a band called Pacific Gas & Electric who went on to have some limited national notoriety.
Glenn eventually succumbed to drugs and alcohol and turned to a bit of an extreme religious group back in his home state of Ohio to cope with the reality of his mortality. There he worked with the leader and joined the All Saved Freaks Band who were early pioneers of Christian Hard Rock. He later separated from the religious group but never gave up his vigil to warn us all of the upcoming rapture and the cost of sin. Often using his barroom venues as a pulpit for fiery sermons.
He was an extremely talented guitar player and beneath the sometimes kooky facade he seemed to have a caring soul. I did not know him personally but saw him perform around town. It was a unique experience to witness and somewhat of a rite of passage for any local music fan to see the great and wild Glenn Schwartz.
I would be remiss to not mention that his brother and bandmate Gene Schwartz played bass for the Grammy winning bluesman, Robert Jr Lockwood. He toured the world with Lockwood and also played the the Schwartz Brothers Band who had residency here at a couple Cleveland venues for years.

I wonder if that’s Plants son? I think it sorta looks like him, based on the brief moment he is seen in The Song Remains the Same.
