Surely you know Bill Haley and the Comets. But I agree, overall this thread needs more captions. While I recognize most of the people in the pictures, some help is needed occasionally.

I thought there'd be a couple Bevis & Butthead comments on this image of Kip Winger
Goldie and the Gingerbreads. The first all girl rock act signed to a major record deal afaik. This was in the 1950's.
Genya Ravan (lead singer) does a show on The underground Garage now and still records, I believe it was the 60's, when they got signed (1963) not the 50's.
People can say what they want about Winger, but Kip was/is a badass
