The Trashmen from Minneapolis. Surfin' Bird! I saw these guys once at a club in Ellsworth, WI. I think that was the night it was recorded live for release. Lotta fun! Wisconsin was 18-year-old beer at the time and I was very tall for my age. All I'm gonna say.

A 1972 Rickenbacker bass in Jetglo finish owned by Bon Jovi guitarist (and avid guitar collector) John Shanks.

I hate to be that guy. But a ‘72 has full width inlays, 1/2”toaster spacing, clear tug bar, gap tooth bridge. Not sure if this does and checker binding.
