That dude is an amazing pianist and vocalist. Way better than Dennis DeYoung, IMO. I've seen Styx live a couple of times over the last decade and it's always an fantastic show.

The first time I saw Lawrence Gowan in concert, he opened for Burton Cummings at the amphitheater in Toronto. Both of them just played piano and sang. Gowan was great. I saw him with Styx a few years ago and he was very good. He is a perfect fit for Styx.

I've only seen Styx live once, at a club in Elmhurst, IL in the early '70s when they were just getting started. The concert video from the Rosemont Horizon last stop on a tour that they released is very good. I'm not familiar with Larry/Lawrence/Larry. I'll have to check out his work.
