Opened for them years ago i n a small club. The guy on the right is average size. The other three are humongous humans.
2nd pic from the bottom looks like a young Ozzy playing bass.
Monkees with Davy Jones on his custom one-of-a-kind Gretsch bass.
Okay this doesn't happen everyday Gene Simmons on stage live playing are you sitting down?....................................

Great set of photos. Big Zep fan here, and I don't think I had seen any of those before.
Any fan of Zeppelin and/or rock photography should get the digital book Sound and Fury by Neil Preston. Some great insight into his work, his perspective of the band, a true insiders view. And the photos are amazing. Many you have seen - the iconic Page with Jack Daniels backstage is his, for example, but there are others anybody will recognize.

Some of my favorites from the book are the off stage shots.
As most of us know, it ain't all limos, drugs, and groupies! Backstage is a often a rather unglamorous place; the band w/ manager Peter Grant, in a bathroom.
A couple years later. Jones seems a bit aloof in this, and several others in the book.
I have bootlegs of the Nassau Feb 13th and 14th shows. Wood joined them on stage during the encore on the 13th, so not sure about the date of this picture. Fun shot though!
OK, maybe it is all about groupies! Plant w/ a cup of tea, and Grant with some "friends" and staff.
Love this shot of Plan w/ his daughter, 1979.
As well as this shot of Jones; I think Mitchell Fox was one of their lawyers, or a promo guy.
