I took this record home from my college radio station...along with the Original "Street Survivors"!... and several dozen others...weeks before graduation (1978), just so that I could have a crisis of conscience, and return them all on the last day of finals.



The little shack we called 'home' burned to cinders the following November...

I've always been a huge fan of Jeff Beck and a car geek. For those reasons, this has always been one of my favorite album covers.

I never have been sure which was the 'front' and which was the 'back' of this record's cover...

...but, isn't that just a part of the universal beauty of the Good Old Grateful Dead?




"Nighthawks At The Diner" hit the sweet spot between Blues and Jazz that opened up the entire world of Jazz for me...
Truly, a Life Changing record for me...

The John Zorn album ^ Naked City is a tribute (I'm guessing it is a tribute, I'm being kind) to Weegee, AKA Arthur Fellig. Weegee, like the Ouija board, was a photographer and the album cover was one of his shots from NYC in the 40s. Naked City was his first book and was a compilation of his crime photos.
