Looks nice, but also looks like it has a slightly chunkier neck. Hows it feel?

It's about a 1-5/8" nut, so it is slightly bigger than my MIM jazz. It is on the heavy side, but I like that for digging in. After going from a stock '66 P to a J, the feel is just right for me. The graphite neck is why I bought it. The tele stock was a bonus. I added Joe Bardens and an Audere pre, and I am in GAS-free heaven.

Ahhh... the 59 Jazz. Even more elusive than the broadcaster/tele guitar prototype; they at least re-issued that one.

I like how you said that! It's like you're describing a rare animal species lol.

Too bad Fender often destroyed the prototypes...It would've been sick to see a Custom Shop reissue of the infamous 59 Jazz. Maybe with additional photos and specs, a luthier could build a custom one?

These two books I own have more pictures of this elusive beast, maybe I can get them on here some how lol.

Sounds nice! If i had a choice, id go for a thinner neck, which is why i love jazz basses, but as long as the tone is good and it feels right the width doesnt really matter. And can anyone really be GAS free?
