Haha the guy I got it from did that. Actual quote was "I dinged it too many times so I took some sand paper and a torch to it."

Well your profile says you're from NYC and I'm currently located (and bought the bass in) Houston Texas. So chances are its not the same bass. But anything is possible I suppose. Plus that would be a really cool story!

LOL Not the same specific bass! ...I meant a Classic Series 70s P (preferably MIJ). I still have mine and I'm not letting it go per my last post ;)
