Some sweet P Basses here. I recently set up in the P camp with this beauty:

Wow. What are the neck and fingerboard woods? Is that a rosewood board on a rosewood neck, or something else? Can you note any clear differences in tone/response between it and your standard maple/rosewood neck/board? I know that tone depends on the individual pieces of wood as much as or more than the species and that there are other factors involved, but this is out of the ordinary and I'd love to hear your impressions!
It looks like wenge to me for both the neck and fingerboard.

Maybe I'm biased...ok..yeah I am, but this is my newest addition. Fits my personality, so it's the look I dig most.

Nice example of nuanced focus of all participating design elements. (as in, poles on pu's echoing dots on fingerboard, black hardware, thick black halo w/rich warm glowing wood center and a metal pg for contrast. A very strong visual balance resulting in attractive product.
If Fender could only get it's head out of their retro-rehash hole and actually start being creative w/their basic designs...
Love this...I will have a bass with a trans-white "Mary Kaye" finish someday!Maybe I'm biased...ok..yeah I am, but this is my newest addition. Fits my personality, so it's the look I dig most.

Even though it probably would only look like this if it was a custom order I love the 70s RI PBass in white
