Copper Tape in Toronto??

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knows a place that sells copper tape for shielding in Toronto. I need it soon that is why I would prefer to buy it in store so that I don't need to wait the 2 weeks for shipping. If anyone knows a place please let me know, since all the locations I though would have had where either closed down or didn't have. Thank you.

I had to buy mine from Stew-Mac because I couldn't find any locally. Stew-Mac is pretty good about getting your shipment out quick, but the package will get hung up at the border. It should clear customs fairly quickly now the holiday shopping season is finished.

If you find a source anywhere in southern Ontario, please post it.

These guys seem to have what you're looking for:

Haven't been there yet but I plan on going next week.

Awesome. I called them and they have both sizes in stock. The only thing is that the adhesive is non-conductive. So that means that I will have to just solder all the joints together and make a bond at each edge. Thanks for that link.

Also I found another place online. http://www.etool.ca/RENDER/1/91/345/3519.html its more expensive since its a lot thicker. I will go for the thinner type since its cheaper and will be easier to work with.

If any more places are found in Toronto with conductive adhesive please post here. Thanks.

i've been in a1parts many times. if you're into looking through piles of old electronics, you may be in there a while B+)

i've found they're the best local source for everything except pots. they don't carry any complete lines of pots so they just sell whatever they get in... a bit of a pain when you're looking for consistently sized small pots...

I have called active surplus previously and they just shrugged me off saying that they didn't know what i was talking about. maybe i should go in and check too if i need more. i bought some copper tape at A1. I just asked them and they got it for me which was nice, so i didn't need to go looking for it.

Active Surplus did not have any copper tape when I was there before X-mas. I did talk to an employee and he was helpful and in no way condescending. IIRC the closest thing they had for shielding was some sheets of metal foil.

Arkarus, is A1 just a parts counter or can you "wander" the aisles?
