Copper Tape in Toronto??

I was able to buy two sheets of WD Music Products copper foil sheet from Steve's Music on Queen Street sometime last year. Forgot the price, but the adhesive is conductive. Either way, I still "seam soldered" the foil edges for good measure. Give them a call if they still have the stuff.

+1 on Stained Glass supply stores. There's a place in Toronto on the Queensway just east of Royal York (south side) - I don't remember the name but you can't miss it. I buy 12" wide copper foil that has an adhesive that is conductive. I buy it by the running foot - they have it in long rolls. Cheapest way by far to buy it.

Though the adhesive is conductive (I tested it), I recommend tack soldering each piece. Over time the glue dries and can lose its conductivity.

Hmmm. Not really practical to do that, as I'll be lining pickup and electronics cavities with it, probably with lots of little pieces. Also I don't want lumps of solder under the pickguard. This is why I want conductive adhesive.

Are you sure the adhesive loses conductivity when it dries?

Have you tried active surplus? They have two locations: one near queen and soho and the other is up on Steeles, in the Woodbridge area (I think).

Also try home hardware, at college & spadina. They've got a surprisingly large amount of electronics-related stock.

I bought a sheet 12x12 of it from Cosmo in Richmond Hill it was enough to do my jazz & tele, but you may want to call to see if they have any first.

there is anotherplace across from Sherway (a1parts) it is a small electronics place so it's hard to see, but I bought caps, copper tape roll, and chicken head knobs. much cheaper then guitar shops!

I've heard that the adhesive on slug tape isn't conductive. Can anyone test some?
