Could this possibly be the best looking fender ever?????

I am truly in awe of this bass, I really don't know what to say other than WOW!!!! Someone please buy it for me!!!:hiding:

I'm a sucker for a red bass, the back shot is nice, but that pickguard? I'm not getting a sense of "flow" from it. And I'm trying to be polite. But it looks as if it were pulled from another bass and shoehorned on to this one.

Care to elaborate?

well, actually i was just laid off from my company! i worked for glaceau, the makers of vitaminwater, and smartwater. all communication via email, memo etc. had to be in helvetica thin 35 font and we were not allowed to capitalize any word.

so now, i am trying to stop it while looking for new work, plus being in grad school i really have to be careful:help:

Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.
That particluar instrument wouldn't be for me. but I can tell you one thing-
I'll bet that bass sounds awesome, plays like a dream, and is built impeccably.

A Fender Custom Shop Master Built instrument is about as good as it gets, whether the "style" or color is to one's liking.

It's a pretty awesome instrument.

 Definite possibilities on this one.

I think I'd try and mimic it with Warmoth parts and such to avoid the Ultra High sticker price on Dread Bay. Maybe a couple of Dark Stars or similar mudbucker. Pick guard may be a challenge to acquire. :hmm:

Looks great though. I'd love to hear it in action. :bassist:

Its quite pretty and beauty is in the eye of The beholder but im pretty sure any custom luthier could get one done for at least 2000 less, way less wait time, better woods. Basically its TELE NECK with 70s tuners, And two mudbuckers and wiring, pickguard, badass bridge and a jaguaresque seems to me body... at most those components are 1400. Buying them new of ebay.

BUT I TOTALLY DIG IT. NOW IF CASH WAS LAYING AROUND... SO THAT THIS COULD BE 1 OF THE 100S OF BASSES ID HAVE LYING AROUND... THIS WOULD MAKE THE CUT

I like it, even if the pickguard is a little wonky. Way over priced.

What I'd really like to see and hear is a telecaster style bridge on a bass (with the rear pup attached to the metal bridge piece). I bet that'd be bright and aggressive as hell. Now I just need to learn how to machine metal!
