Covers for Yamaha BBT110s?

Gotcha! I prefer to send a clean signal directly from my bass to the FOH! For me it solves 2 problems! It's easier for the soundman to work with and secondly, it gives me total control over my onstage monitoring (my amp). Many times I need to adjust my settings during a show and the soundman would always tell me he had to constantly work on my signal and more times than not, he would have me turn down my amp because he was getting too hot a signal to the point where I could barely hear myself onstage! I prefer to have complete control over my onstage rig! And I've been doing this for 20+ years now!

I must say, it went very well. Far better than I had expected. I used my little BiAmp powered mixer to send CDs and a single mic through the little Yammies. I did have to do a little bit of EQ-ing for best tone, but nothing drastic. These little cabs just totally sounded great! I expected them to be pretty good, but they definitely exceeded my expectations.

The low end from CDs was incredible (admittedly, I dialed a slight low end boost). I dialed back the tweets a bit on the highs, and this seemed about right. I think I trimmed out some of the stuff over 12k on the graphic EQ, too. The mids are not totally full throughout, and I thought that this would be their Achilles' heel, but despite not being able to really EQ the mids very well (it was a quick and dirty setup), this proved to not be an issue. Both music and the mic sounded great, and I had the cabs sitting on the floor in an upstairs balcony (overlooking the event for which they were used).

Highly impressed. :cool:

As for cab covers, I think I'm just going to measure them and give my mother-in-law the dimensions and have her sew something up for me.

Does the amp simulation come before the headphone output? If so, this might be the ticket for driving a slave amp.

I've been pretty happy with my BBT110. I recently went with an iAMP500/Wizzy rig, and while I've got the intention of grabbing a second Wizzy at some point, the Yamaha BBT110 at 4 ohms has worked great as a second cab to add some speaker area for louder gigs.

The tweeter is pretty hissy with the iAMP, but I just turn it off, anyway.

With the Yamaha on the bottom, the Wizzy and iAmp are higher up. And, when I was standing next to my rig, the Yamaha was pushing some serious air. Sounded great together. And, you can't be an extension cab for $149 shipped. :hyper:

I'll probably pick up a cover for it since both the Wizzy and iAmp have them. Besides, with two cats, the carpet needs some protection when it's not getting used....

Can you bring this cab along to the ATL GTG tomorrow? I'd like to check it out. They are pretty tempting at that price.

Hi Tom,

The price for an EA VL-110 cover would be $65.00 for F1, $55.00 for F2, or $45.00 for F3, so, if the BBT 110 is similar in size, then the prices would be similar, as well. I cannot, however, find any dimensional information for the BBT 110, so we would, in fact, have to rely on you for that information.

As far as ordering multiple pieces is concerned, it really needs to be a very large order, with multiples of the same item, before we can start manipulating the cost.
