For my job I have to wash my hands constantly. This causes my skin to get really dry. Around the nails in particular my skin is literally cracking open. It has gone from simply annoying to painful.

Edit to add: Pics have been added a few posts down. And I drink TONS of water daily. Tons! My reusable water bottles are a litre and I go through probably 6 or so in a work day. I am constantly pounding water.

    What hasn’t worked?
O’Keeffe’s Working Hands- works fine for about five minutes until it either soaks in or dries up.

Aquaphor - (sp) somehow does fine for the rest of my hands but my fingertips are still cracked all to pieces

Most “regular” lotions my wife keeps around the house

Help me out. Bonus point if it isn’t to “girly”. I would prefer I didn’t smell like lilacs and lavender. :D

Could it be beneficial (or allowed) to have your own hand soap?

Otherwise, I don't have anything else to offer. Sorry.

My ex used to have a terrible problem with cracked hands in winter, to the point of them bleeding constantly. She tried all kinds of creams and lotions. In the end, the only thing that worked (for her) was Drapolene, which is basically made for nappy rash on children. Drapolene has proved to be amazing (in my experience) for cuts, burns, cracks, rashes and many other irritations.

Yes. I travel in a work vehicle to different towns/buildings daily. What kind of soap do you suggest?

I am in the medical business. So whatever germ killing super soap they have in medical offices. I'm sure that's a large part of the problem.

I can bring my own though. Liquid would travel better than a bar for me.
You have a kind in mind?

Target : Expect More. Pay Less.

I guarantee you this works extremely effectively, and women don't use it much. It heals the cracks; prevents more; and it is highly addictive. I've been using it for years.

I have the same problem, mostly in the winter time. This is my go-to. Once a day is all it takes for me. Fragrance free.

    lubriderm.

My girlfriend is a bit of a health nut in the sense that anything she uses has to be organic and cannot contain any ingredients that she can't pronounce... :D

Anyways, we use coconut oil and almond oil around our house, and I have personally seen a significant difference in how moisturized my skin stays throughout the day from using that over more traditional lotions and moisturizers. I think she gets the stuff from places like GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe.
