Crest CA4

I've come across a Crest CA4 going for dirtcheap. It has one fully working channel, the other is described as non-functional but 'repairable'. Just checking what may seem obvious, but would I be able to run one side of this amp (450W at 4ohms) until I had ch.2 fixed to run it in bridged mono or is there some reason i would need both channels working? For an amp which is sold over a grand new in pounds sterling, I can pick this up for well under a hundred.

Thoughts? I'm confident I'll rarely run it stereo, and running a CA4 as a bridged mono amp will surely provide enough power...

First off this amp CA4 does not sell over a grand new. In reality you probably can get the CA9 under a grand new. I saw what they wanted on ebay. It will cost you alot to have that fixed. I would go with the ca9 that they have. Much better in the long run. The CA4 is a good amp. I have the CA 6 and bought it well under a grand...... NEW.
