Going to funk up the Aggieland strip tonight. Should be good times as usual, and hopefully we'll get some good BBQ on the way.

i am playing a drag night/costume party tonight. that's a new one for me. the band is two males, two females, so we are switching up. i had a good friend help me get set up at goodwill last weekend.
tomorrow i play out of town at what should be a good, big gig. we play a set, our friend's band plays a set, and then i will cover the bass for a third set with the other band doing black sabbath's first album. i have been playing thru it for two weeks. i am digging it and getting psyched.![]()
I think you started a thread about this. Aren't you guys doing it with basically no rehearsal? Or was that a different TBer?
P.S. cool that this thread has been kept alive. Gigs! Gigs! Gigs!

Those are the best type of gigs IMHO. Just sit back and groove to Ellington, Porter, Jobim, etc.Just a wedding gig and a coffee shop gig, both jazz content.
