At least you have a chance cause it's not gonna blend in anywhere, and TBH not gonna be easy to sell. Hopefully someone sees it sometime soon.

Sorry hear about this,brings thoughts back to me with a trade I just did when I sent the bass to the other person after we agreed to trade. He received my bass first then he requested return to sender before I got the one he promised to send to me. Now won't respond to send me my bass back to me. Seems like a stolen bass to me now. Hope you are able to recover yours.

Is there any badging, branding, or signatures on the back of the headstock that would make it easier to outright search for on classified sites/reverb?

Nothing. What an irony. Incompetent burglars. They left the TV and the Hi-Fi, and stole an unnamed bass that has absolutely no resale value, but broke my hart. Honnestly, I would have prefered if they had stolen valuable objects, objects I could have bought back.

The second irony is that tey took a bass that is very easy to identify visually, but almost impossible to describe with kaywords, because there's no brand. I've created alerts on Reverb and a local classified website ("Le Bon Coin", French equivalent of Craig List) with the keyword "red bass", very little hope. I don't see these guys describing it as a "Telecaster shaped bass", they probably don't know what a Telecaster is, plus I would receive alert for all Telecaster guitars as well.

They took: this bass, an old Ovation guitar, an old drum kit my drummer had left in my house… and my weed.
The police has a photo of my bass, I didn't have any photos of the Ovation & drum kit, and I forget to tell them about the missing grass They said that stolen items were usually sent abroad.

Hope you get it back. Call every music shop and pawn shop in your area. Send them the serial number and a photo of the bass so they know what to look for. Keep your eye on eBay, Reverb, Craigslist, and the TB Classifieds. I’ve been there and never recovered mine cause I didn’t do all that and missed out on catching them in the act at GC right down the road from me.

My condolences Always sorry to read/hear this kind of nasty news. I wish being such a unique, identifiable piece increases the chances of her coming back your way.

EDIT: +1 abour the suggestion to also post this in basschat.co.uk, huge comunity there from all over Europe, a very central spor for bass players.

Salut, en effet j'ai fait un petit tour du bon coin avec toutes les basses récentes sans succès. J'y penserai si je la vois passer dans un futur plus ou moins proche. Là, zikinf, différents forums de basse, groupes Facebook de vente de matos etc.

Make sure you notify the police and the pawnshops within a 50 mile radius. I don't suppose the builder had a serial number system?

Thieves in general. As a construction contractor I've had so much equipment jacked from me I could start a whole other 8 man crew.

My county just busted a construction equipment theft ring. They had so much stuff in their warehouse that it looked like a Home Depot central warehouse. And that was only half of what they found.
