Is that board flatsawn wenge? Looks cool- I hate wenge fretboards on fretted instruments, but it sounds great on fretless!
Ordered a custom bass a few days ago... atleast 3 month waiting time, not gonna be an easy wait.
29 frets
32" scale
Kahler tremolo
EMG electronics
Mahogany center, flamed maple back, ovangkol top
Neckthrough, 7pcs maple/bubinga /w ebony fretboard
Wenge knobs
This shape is the starting point, but with modifications to get an easier access to upper frets

Anybody interested in the price? $1400 (!!!!!!)
Everything made to my specification, at that price... a bargain of the century

Would look a lot more classy imo, either that or gold. The chrome is a little to plain and tatty looking there.
btw that bass looks...unique. Who is the builder, if I may ask?
Nice! What kind of tuning/specs makes an "alto bass" though? Don't think I've heard that term much if at all.![]()
Ok, cool. I think you mean 2 octaves higher though. Since 1 octave higher would be the C# at the 2nd fret of a standard B-string![]()
Good thing I have Friday and Sunday off. When I got my MB2, I don't think I had many days off to enjoy it for a while.![]()
