I saw the J-raj Bennie at NAMM. Pretty wicked. I also Bud's stuff at NAMM, really nice fit and finish. Even though I make my own stuff these days, I still love seeing all the TB'rs dream basses take form.

kinda of a "piccolo" version of Jaquo's Contra-bass tuning

it works wonderfully for indian music.

Wouldn't that be more of a tenor bass than an alto bass? It's only a sixth higher.

tenor is a-d-g-c... iirc

so since the tuning falls between that and piccolo tuning i came up with "alto" which is easier to say than "monkey businessman tuning... up a half step" which is how i started with this tuning

I'm tuning my new 5'ver E-C, which I thought was 'Tenor-tuning'... the timbre sounds beautiful, really what I have had in my head for the last couple of years!

Haha, sure, but usually there is more than a sixth between bass/baritone and alto voices!
