Back in the club....

Seems I'm a casualty of the GTG this past weekend.... :help:

Just got off the phone with Brian at The Low End and dropped a deposit on a Benavente Standard 5 string!

Alder body with a walnut top
Rosewood fretboard
Benavente preamp
Clear satin finish

:hyper:

exact same thing happened to me this time last year (resulting in my Bennie SCD 5 that I just received)... after that last GTG at The Lowend.... sucker! :smug:

Gah, it's getting painful. I'm still waiting for my Single Cut Fretless to be done, and it's been 8 months since my '51 P/J bass started production, but there have been issues with the metalflake finish on that one. I want them both! Now!

Before carving...:ninja:

I forgot to add myself to this collective back in January... I'm waiting for a Sadowsky NYC 4. Should be done in about 4 months, specs are below.

NYC jazz 4
Swamp ash body (standard sized)
Coral pink finish with matching headstock
Parchment pickguard (and a red tortoise shell extra)
Maple fretboard with abalone dot inlays
Nordstrand big singles pickups

Well my AC guitars ReCurve singlecut is really taking shape - not too much longer to wait:hyper:

Reeeealy looking good!
Looking as nice from the back as from the front.

Nice to see some projects making progress.
The first piece a ebony for my Laggan's fingerboard didn't behave. Piece #2 is almost ready.
The wait is now over 13 months and counting, and counting, and counting---

Thanks Stew ! :) no update on your basses ?

I spoke with Darrin Huff a little more than a week ago and the bass is almost spec'd out but the build hasn't started yet. the pickup and cover are just waiting on measurements and we'll get that out to him.

Bill has some 10 string neck blanks ready to go but we still need to narrow down a few wood choices (top and headstock cap).

Fred is going to start something really cool and kind of wacky for me but he has to do a subtle redesign of one model and then the production will be pretty quick.

I've got everything spec'd out on my Sage but the delay on that is coming from my end of the equation... :o

I'm heading down to the shop to work on my fretless 4 and my fretted 5 right now.

life is good!

:D
