RLK, thanks for your comments about the Sei 8. The bass appears more offset than it really is because of the three octave neck. Sorry to hear about the snag, but I really like your new top (better than the first one in my opinion) and the bass design is both great and innovative. I am very interested in how it will turn out, so keep posting please!

STPVOODOO1, that pale moon body is amazing and very unusual...:)

That laggan shape is simply gorgeous. Big time GAS, just for the shape...

In the meantime, Pete and I have finalized the deets on Skjold #2:

1 piece mahogany body
3 piece maple neck w/matching headstock cap
Stripey ebony board, pickup covers and ramp - Pete is going make sure that the stripes on the board are continuous from the board to the pickups and ramp
passive with pickup selector and tone

My Benavente SCD Standard 5 should be getting close to completion soon!!

Nice! Another 6-string, I presume?

Mark, what else is there to do until that Benavente beauty is in your hands? Very nice!

G, Skjold basses are always rather tasty. Nice specs and the stripy board extending down to the pickups sounds very interesting. Plenty of pics when they are available please.

Ouch- your twisting my arm to take some credit!
The body, as well 95% of the rest of that bass is my design. I also have worked out 22 through 28 fret variants, with headstock and headless. (I'm an industrial design enthusiest.)

Sounds like another Skjold winner.
Another passive fan!
Have you considered using a rothstein switchable passive tone control? With a push of the knob, it switches from the standard treble roll-off to a "mid- scoop".

I'm assuming you're ordering this one with the waterproof sealant? ;) :D

Talked to Beaver Felton just now- my Elrick singlecut six is shipping today and will arrive on Wednesday :hyper:

Bryan - Not long to go now !! How many times have you checked the tracking number....

:D Didn't get it yet, but I know exactly what you mean. What I have been doing though is checking Bass Central's stie to see if they upload a pic of it every couple of hours or so :)
