Custom cab...Kinda Concerned

If you type Emporer Custom Cabs into google the Jim Marshall brainsnap is still right there on page one.

I'm not sure the OP needs to worry about any potential badmouthing he might perpetuate by naming them here. Though it was initially polite, the cat is now out of the bag and since Emperor seem to be pretty adept at getting themselves in hot water the truth might as well be told.

Agreed.

Made your bed.......now sleep in it....

Somebody around here must've saved a screenshot or facebook conversation of it.

Of course they came back the next day and issued an apology.....only because they pretty much had to to save face.

It would be like somebody talking bad about your dead loved one, then saying "oops, sorry" the next day, as if that changes anything they already thought and said.

Even now, if you read the copy on their home page, they seem a little cock-happy.

Update:
My cab should be done this weekend. No explanation for the delay. I'm guessing that they developed a back order when they changed their location, and instead of making people aware of this, they kept accepting orders without changing their estimated build time. Just a theory, but it seems like a sound one to me.

It's important that people know that I love the cabs they make, and that enough full-time bassists use them that I know they DO know how to make a bass cab, and if they don't then Brian Cook's tone is pretty sick with whatever it is they aren't doing right.

While I am pretty displeased with the delay and lacking communication, I would rather have the cab than not (especially because I've already put money into it). That being said, they have promised me some pictures so that I can make sure they got it right by the end of the weekend. If they fail to do this, or if the cab is not right, then I'll take everyone's suggestions and bail (or make them do it right, but probably bail at this point).

Thanks everyone!
