Custom singlecut 6 str for Bobby K.

Wilsner, I'm surprised at how transparent you are about your whole process - I've had a custom bass made before, and the builder was not nearly as forthcoming about how things were going, even when it was months and months over deadline... yours is a refreshing approach.

yeap, you have effectively nullified the compliment by misspelling my name. Oh well, I guess it's better than wheelsir

Hey Bobby, I forgot to mention that yes, you should start thinking about the case. Usually if the customer carries a gig bag around I recommend they purchase and have shipped to me one of those Musician's Gear hard cases which are cheap and sturdy enough for shipping and the occasional carry around (definitely not good for a long term protective case). If you have your own case that'll fit at least a 14"x 21" body size you can ship that to me as well. Also, Body Glove sells a hybrid case which is really a reinforced gig bag with extra padding that works very well for shipping, I actually got one of these for myself after one of my customers had me ship his bass in one of these. They sell them at zzounds.com and samedaymusic.com. The coolest thing about it is that it fits my extra wide CC model's body (almost 16").

there are a couple that are good from what i have researched including Protec Contego. But I would suggest he contact cedar creek cases. If you go direct with them you can get a custom hardshell for what you would pay for some of the hybrid gig bags... my two cents.

no, thank you. All "boner phone" calls will be forwarded to Waco, TX. ;)

 Hmmmm although charging $9.99 a minute is tempting I think I'll pass, what a mental image though:rollno: Uggghh YUCK! sheesh and I thought the old Nightmare on Elm Street movie where Freddy sticks his tongue through the phone was gross...:p

The bass is looking really nice, I'm envious!

I have a gig bag now that works well.. Its one of those that holds two basses.. I put the bass on one side and my LMII and cables on the other.

I do need to get a hard case though.. I was thinking of this in tweed:

Is that the one you're talking about? If so, I'll order it today or tomorrow and have it shipped to you. Also, ship to the same address on the quote, right?
