Custom singlecut 6 str for Bobby K.

A wee bit of finish sanding and raising the grain before finishing.

Lookin sexy!

Is there enough space around the covers to get a small screw driver in there to pop them off or are we doing the small little recesses to pull them up?

If anything, probably only the battery compartment needs the recess as I wont really need to get into the preamp compartment quickly and, if I ever do, I can use a small eyeglass screw driver.

Thoughts?

I'll do a recess on the battery cover just like Chris Clemente's bass (see my website) and leave a little "screw driver" access for the control cover.

Cool.. Thanks for the info.. Just another couple questions.. Whats the weight, what kind of sounds will the combination of the woods we chose give me, where will the mid hump be located, and will it help me get women? :hiding: JK

Well, I try to never weigh or guess what the final weight will be, but just now I was sanding a bit and grabbed it, flipped it in the air to sand the other side and when I caught it (thank God for that!) I had to come into the house to show my wife. It's the lightest bass I've done to date, so far. Of course, none of the hardware is on yet, but nevertheless. Her eyes just popped! She said "Are you sure this is stiff enough?" I said (with an italian mobster accent) "c'mon honey, the guy opted for the carbon fiber, of course it's stiff ...besides, I don't do wimpy noodle limp mid-humps, baby, c'mon, this is me you're talking to!" :hiding: Alright, enough with the macho-I'm-the-man crap. It is lightest so far and it's up to you to locate the mid-hump once you've got it on your hands and use it's power for good. I cannot be responsible for misused mid-hump and female mobs attacking you in your gigs.

very nice. I noticed the bodies piled up in the background of that last photo.

man, I don't even wanna look at those! Only way for me to deal with all the work is to take it one day at a time and seeing the bodies piled up makes me thing of the work ahead! I gotta spread those guys around the shop!
