Great stuff!:bassist:

Beautiful work Wilser! I really like the way that this bass is turning out.
Sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, but what kind of finish are you going to use on this one?
Joe

It's gonna be semi-gloss.

Wilser,
I know you've said this before, but I don't recall: What kind of adhesive are you using on that neck joint?

-Josh

I use poly glue exclusively on all wood joints.

That is artistic sex in the bass clef!

I really really enjoy the top as well as the inlays on the fb. It's overall a very beautiful and moving piece. I've been following the thread when it pops up and I just have to say I'm loving it. I can't wait to see the pickup covers as well.

I have to agree with Benny... this is turning out to be a superlative build Wil. The pup covers are gonna take it over the top. I can't wait to see how they look.

Wilser how easy is to un-glue (is that word exists?) something glued with that polu glue you use?

Just like any other glue, I guess. I've removed fingerboards glued in with titebond, epoxy and with 2 types of poly glue (gorilla and franklin) and they were all about the same, heat and a thin knife or other thin metal tool you can use to "pry" while the glue melts. Some people use steam, but I wouldn't recommend it if you intend to reuse either the fingerboard or the neck!

That thing's just crazy, Kudos to the customer on the wood choices!

Thanks! I know some people like plain-jane basses but my idea for this one was to be visually over the top and still be classy. I've always loved highly contrasting colors and I think Wilser achieved it without it being gaudy (ex brown and pink highly contrast but doesnt mean it'll look good).

Plus, the "louder" my bass looks, the less people will hear my mistakes :D Thats how it goes, right?

No man! it's the LEDs that hide the mistakes! :D

Hopefully, when you get the bass and get to play it you will be more than excited about a pretty piece of wood and the ergonomics, playability and sound will suit you well.
