Ok! In the interest of SCIENCE I have devised a simple test for the OP and all who are interested.
I downloaded both tracks that OP posted and flew them into Sonar X1. I then picked a short piece (The Jackson 5 bit) and chose random spots to cut back and forth from the vibrated bass to the non-vibrated bass. Now I must say OP has quite good time, but I DID move a few bits to keep the time aligned, but I used zero eq'ing and no volume adjustments.
So, have a listen on any speakers/headphones/amps you desire and tell me where the edits are.

I can't hear a difference at all thru my crappy iPad speaker.
I have my PC hooked up to a 70s stereo amp and a half decent pair of speakers and I can't spot the joins.

Thank you for doing all of this work, it's my hope that this gets well publicized enough to put the con men out of business.
On a separate note, if the product was actually branded a "bass vibrator" I might be inclined to get one as a conversation piece!
I may have missed it.. but why not just set a bass on a couch or bed, set an ebow on it and leave for a week? I mean if we're talking about breaking in a bass... this would break in the strings and all the attachments wouldn't it?

No no no, you have to pump the right KIND of vibrations into it. If you play Jazz, it's gotta be Jazz vibes. Etc.
You'd start playing a new kind of metal that folks would feel oddly compelled to dance to.
I was thinking about my $20 Brookstone Bluetooth speaker. It even has a suction cup. No bubblegum pop will be played though. I would only play Victor Wooten on my Foderas, Alain Caron on my fretless FBass and Larry Graham on my Jazz basses.
I assure you that no one will hear the edits; this isn't my first rodeo. I'm no longer at the studio but there is at least five cuts in the 18 second clip. I can't even tell where the edits are now that I'm back at the house on my KRKs. The key thing to listen for is the obviously improved tone and playing, according to the op. Good luck with that.
I got to say though, with all the ribbing the OP is still hanging in there with this, most would swear off TB forever and tell everybody that. I'm suspecting maybe a little tongue in check going on with him. I really thought OP was trolling us a bit but no, the takes are different, and I will give him credit for, as far as I can tell, not doctoring the second clip up to make it sound better. He might be a troll, or a shill, or not, but I do feel these were honest takes.
Oh I don't think he is a troll or shill, I actually think he is pretty cool as evident in that other thread I mentioned. There is just something not Kosher about all this, like I said , a little tongue in cheek maybe. If you OP believe there is something going on, more power to you, perception really is reality. Jim

What I actually meant was that I couldn't tell from the difference in tone where the edits occurred (and I doubt that the OP could either).

How did you download the clips? I looked for a download link and couldn't see one.
Have no idea what this is or why I'd use it - it's my hands that need 'breaking in' before I play, not the bass!
If your bass leaves you over this, it never really loved you in the first place. Man up and face the music.
In my experience, your, um, bass will respond positively to the introduction of a vibrator even though she may be a little embarrassed to use it at first.
