PA, will check the links when I get home. If Pointbass was impressed you must have killed.
Not that my opinion means much, but when you listen to the vid's realize that she has been playing for just a bit over 1 year!! Her time is nearly perfect, she hits the one right on the nose, her tone doesn't vascillate ... that's huge stuff for a relative noob. Her playing is already much better than many here on TB ... she'll be a killer in a couple of years

I caught the vids during one of those 3AM, I can't sleep periods.

My take was I see a HUGE improvement from Sept to February.

Also, I am getting a bit envious as 'erratic' is my middle name. Especially straight up live. (PM me an email for a mp3 or two if you want proof). So, perfect time is like losing weight, something I aspire to, but never really execute. Fortunately, my time is as good as my homies, often better so I get away with a lot of $***.

Two weeks ago the drummer decided to use an electronic set and he couldn't figure out how to get the 2 extra delay beats out, so I had a choice of three different 'ones' each time. That will more than cover any sins I have. Actually, I am good on the one, it's the 2,3, and 4 where things get a little weird.

Your opinion certainly matters a great deal to me, in no small part because I've seen/ heard vid's of your playing, and you are absolutely incredible and make it all look effortless. You are a Bass God for sure.

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to listen to my videos, and to offer feedback. These encouraging comments are really motivating to me, espeically since I know you know what you're talking about (at least when it comes to bass playing).

To give the rest of the CWB folks a little background, after Ed's extremely helpful suggestions to me on "Rock This Town" awhile back, I pleaded with him to give me Skype lessons until my regular instructor returns from out-of-state. He doesn't usually take beginners, and he mostly works with extended range bassists, but he couldn't resist my grovelling and pouting, so he finally agreed to give me some lessons.

He's been really great, and I would definitely recommend him as a teacher. He really tailors the lessons to the student, and I felt I was able to be much more creative with my basslines after only the first lesson. That didn't surprise me, though, because I was able to improve my playing of "Rock This Town" immediately with his suggestions.

Alright, I'll shut up already. But go watch one of his videos on his webpage. Sounds incredible, and you can hardly even see his fingers moving, he makes it look like magic. :hyper::bassist:

I doubt a man has ever lived who could resist your adorable pout.

Definitely.

Hi Guys and gals!.

I know I have been gone for a long time. Long story which will be forthcoming. I just wanted to see how everyone was, and am so glad to see that y'all are still going strong. I have about three threads to catch up with, but that will come in time. I just wanted to announce that I am still here, and hope you guys/gals didn't forget about me.....

Good to see you back again! I was wondering where you went. :p

Tat, how was the seafood tonight? :)

The restaurant did not live up to its reputation. Slow service. Overcooked fish. Undercooked vegetables. And - they ran out of creme brulee, so the waiter "just took the liberty of substituting something kinda close" and brought me bread pudding. Now, I do like bread pudding, but on no planet in this galaxy is bread pudding "kinda close" to creme brulee. I left a very unhappy camper. When I've calmed down about it, I'll be writing a very detailed letter to the manager.

We just got a call that there is another emergency in Chicago. This seems like it's never going to let up.

Youch. I know this is cliche, but you are never handed anything to deal with that you are not capable of handling. It just really sucks that you're getting so much at one time. You know where to find me if you need to talk. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

All part of the game, PA. All part of the game ..... :D ;)

Gotta make you work for it at least a little bit to make sure you're satisfied by the hunt and decide to come in and take your prey.

.....or to find out you've become the prey yourself! All part of the game, Tat. All part of the game... ;)

I like it when you play rough. ;)

Me. Too.

You're really rockin' the sh!t outta that bass. I'm slightly jealous of your ability to get teachers that wouldn't normally teach 'beginners' or 'noobs'. Nicely done. :p I'm gonna go [DEL]quit[/DEL] [DEL]cry[/DEL] [DEL]sleep[/DEL] practice.:bassist::p

The internet is my mentor anyway. :D
