Make sure you go sign up at www.bassstringsonline.com, then PM SLaPiNFuNK and let him know what e-mail address you used in your sign-up. Jason will hook you up with VIP status. TB members get a discount on their already awesome deals. Unless you're getting them given to you, Jason's the best string deal I've found out there. And, he carries TI's.

Yup, did that a while back. Definitely very good prices. :p

If you don't wanna drop a lot of cash check out GHS Pressurewounds too. I don't like the feel of flats much personally and I like the sound of rounds. The GHS' are a nice compromise, they let you keep a little more of the aggressive rounds tone but mess up your fingerboard.

+1 to getting ahold of Jason at Bassstringsonline, cool dude and awesome prices on an even more awesome selection of strings.

And practice those setups!!! I used to take all my stuff to a specific friend of mine to get set up, he has his own tech business. Don't have to anymore, after some experimenting my set ups are better than his :smug: You'll save a whole pile of money!

I actually really like the feel of flats, but I'm always up for a new string experience so I'll add the pressurewounds to the list of things to try.

+ 10000000 on learning set-ups! For sure. Between the two of us we have about 12 guitars and basses to practice on so once I make it through the rounds once I can just start all over again at the beginning. :p

Tat, aren't you an PA tearing Orlando to shreds this weekend?

We are plotting an evening attack this evening after she and the fam are finished terrorizing the Magic Kingdom. Then, Thursday we're headed up to the Cabbage Patch to see Tom, and who knows what else we'll do after that. I took Thursday afternoon and Friday off this next week so I'd have some hang-time.

when you are done, you can come do mine...
I have a couple more than you, and with the weather change, mine need to be checked again. I do it once in the spring, and once in the winter. I will even let you use a step ladder to get the mockingbird down from above the door in my great room

I will bet my old BC Rich warlock (Mayham model) is really out of whack. I put new strings on it, then it got moved near a heater vent

Oh and while you are at it, I have an antique Lowrey church organ that may need a little cleaning...LOL..:p

I'll do the guitars, but you'll have to clean the pipes. :D ...on the organ. :p
