OK, got a pic...this is laying on my pool table. it was the best background I could think of, to really be able to see the detail

I found a guy in germany (via computer) who was making aluminum pickguards, so I had him make a custom one for a bass project. This is polished, but looks kind of dingy because of my fingerprints

BTW...This was done for a fender jazz bass that is painted tangerine candy pearl (headstock matches body)

So pretty...can't wait to see it on the bass. :p

So, does this mean I'm still waiting for my buff pics? :eyebrow::D

see, that would turn out all bad... you would point and laugh and I would get a complex... not good at all

you will like the bass, when it is done... The routs are nice and tight. Even with that pickguard, everything looks clean. I did have to install the jack on the heel of the bass, instead of having it in the control plate. The bass came with three pot controls (volume, volume, tone). I installed a Nordstrand preamp with separate bass and treble pots. . That is OK though. I really do not like the jack on the control plate. I am always afraid I am going to snag it on something. I never have, but it is still a fear. I put the battery under the control plate. I just could not bring myself to rout that body any more. It is too clean, and I did not want to mess it up

OK, this is random other than that it's from the "This Really Sucks" thread here on the Bass Humor subforum. It's about the roomba robot cleaning device. While I don't generally like cats, and greatly prefer dogs, I gotta like this cat:
