Jams for Jimmy was a much bigger success than we had dared to dream.

We raised $7,778 for "the Caring Place", a local charity that helps with grief counseling and other services. (And had helped my family.)

Highmark, a locally based insurance provider promised to match funds.

So tha grand total comes to $15,556, a number that we never imagined that we could reach.

I just got off of the phone with "her Tatness", and she is a little over and hour from my house.

Congratulations Drummer. It's really nice to hear what you were able to help raise for a very good cause.

I have to share this to make my friends laugh.

We live in a suburb of Pittsburgh called Dormont. One of the things that attracted us to Dormont is that so many things are within walking distance. I regularly walk to the bank, post office, drug store, coffee shop, etc.

Yesterday I went to the bank, afterwards I walked home as usual. This morning I went to get into my car to go to physical therapy and it wasn't there...

It was cold when I went to the bank yesterday, so I drove. I walked home and left the car there.

Walking home I had to zip up my leather jacket as I was pretty cold. I thought to myself, I wasn't this cold on the way down here...

(Because I was in the freaking car!)

Haha, thats hilarious man. Pretty much made my morning.

hey Mike - you coming to this mini-get-together in Wyomissing?

If so, don't forget about your car. P'burgh to the Reading area is a long walk. :bassist:

I was just thinking the same thing ha.

Thats nuts, its awesome to see some community support for a good cause.

And I'll just leave this here...I think I'm in love [again]

Thinking of you peeps getting ready for bootcamp. Hope you all have a blast and indulge us w pics ;)

sent Tat a PM - I'll be there Friday night. There's a show featuring some of the teaching bass players. I expect it will be in the bar there (which I know very well - don't ask), although it might be in one of the convention rooms. But when I saw Brian Bromberg there a couple of years ago, that show was in the bar and I don't expect this to have a larger audience than Bromberg. The bar is a great little venue btw. Anyway, see you there Friday night.

Tat got here a little after midnight. We sat up and talked (and played eachother's basses) until after four am. The dogs got me up early this morning. Tat's still catching up on her sleep. (I hope my goofy dogs didn't drive her too crazy.)

I think that she may head out today, as she want's to stay ahead of a storm. I also think that she can't wait to pick up her new bass. :D I'm rolling out tomorrow in the am. I'm looking forward to meeting you in person Chuck.

Who here besides Tat is going to the Bass Boot camp in Penn.?

I'm going to be there with Revsound for the expo

I am not attending the boot camp but by crazy coincidence I am there anyway, on a family matter. I've stayed in that hotel close to 100 times as my mother lived right nearby. I will be around Friday night, maybe a little on Saturday morning. I know Tat and Drummer will be there; I think Autodidact was also thinking of stopping by.

edit: I see the expo starts at 10 on Saturday morning so I will probably check that out before I am on my way. Are you with one of the exhibitors at the expo?

Holy Cow! That's terrific! That was a nice payback, Mike. And Kudos to the local business for such a generous match.

I really would love to meet everyone.

Not to mention please check out the products. They sound like a Berg/Epi and weigh&cost less...No Joke.

I will do that. The 410T looks interesting. I'm looking for a new 4 ohm cab to go with my Streamliner 900.

Just a heads up..The 410s and 410Ts are actually 8ohms...

I'm guy who primary been using 4 ohm 410s for well over a decade and was worried about the cabs being 8 ohms.

Well the Celestion Neo 10s are significantly more efficient the eminence drivers.

At this time Revsound are the only ones using these drivers.
