Basswave, we'll come find you!

Here is a quick pic from this afternoon...

Tat visits the drummer's "Bass-ment"

Awesome!!

I will do that. The 410T looks interesting. I'm looking for a new 4 ohm cab to go with my Streamliner 900.

Lol..isn't that a bit big for someone who advocates small rigs? :hiding: ;)

$#!@#! My LMIII head just died on me..and I have a gig next weekend. Fortunately, I have the GK MB200 head as a back up. GC basically told me to pound sand since I didn't buy their extortion plan..err..pro coverage. Time to appeal to the Markbass CS.

that's a pain. I am planning on using my LM II at a gig on Sunday, but I will bring a backup, esp. after this.

Not sure what's up with yours, but these LMs seem to be nice little heads. They go well with the Schroeder cabs, kind of warm them up which they need.

I am going to submit a warranty claim to VST tomorrow and hope that they can either repair or replace the head. It has a two year warranty.

Seems to me I've seen some comments of a protection feature kicking in. Was it hot at the time? Have you retried since it cooled?

DT I had 3 different MB combos and the all suffered one prob or another. The last one I had was fine but I sold it. Hope you can get a replacement soon

Fortunately, MB has a two year warranty from date of purchase. I need to get a copy of my sales receipt from GC tomorrow so I can submit for a RA# and HOPE that they repair/replace the amp.

I'm a little less than enthused about having to use the GK head. I really do like the head, it just doesn't have the thump that I got out of the MB head.

I kept taking mine in to GC and they'd be like here, take another one.
I had to trade up the last time buy by then I was using different gear so it just sat in my practice room till I sold it.

I'm loving my Tonehammer 500 more and more. Snag one if you get the chance. It's plug n play like the LMIII but you'd likd the tone more. Also the power feels like nearly twice power of the LMIII.

yeah, I hear great things about the Tonehammer. I'm using the Streamliner 900 for some things, the LM II for others, the EBS ValveDrive right into the FOH for others, but I'd like to try the Tonehammer.

But another head is down my list of priorities. First is a new 4-ohm cab, either a 212 or a 410. Looking at Baer cabs and now Revsound this weekend at the expo. Second is another mandolin, this one for Brooklyn (I have a good one upstate, but I don't haul stuff back and forth). Funny but people like the mando as a change-up.

Maybe I will try that tomorrow..take the amp head in with me to GC and see if they will take pity and give me a new one. Worth a shot, right?

I hear great things about the TH500. Perhaps in the future I will try to snag one.

Arrived safely to Reading about 9:30 tjis evening. Got all the gear unloaded and took a long hot bath. Thursday is another big day. Making the drive to Philly for a special delivery. The kind folks at Roscoe shipped my baby to a dealer up here who has her waiting for me. I don't have adequate words for how awesome they've been to have this bass in my hands for boot camp. Pics tomorrow as soon as I get back to the hotel with her.

Awesome....New Roscoe sounds great.

I have to say that I'm little surprised about the issues you guys are running into with MB.

I have 2 LMIIs and a MoMark with no issues (the LMIIs are about 7 years old as well...I'm not sure of the gig count on them, but its pretty high (hundreds).

Mulebagger, where you running into head or cab issues with your MBs?
DT sorry to hear about that...It good to have a backup. In fact that is why I have a few heads.

Be safe and have a great time, Tat!

I had two of the 12 combos and a 210 combo. The second 210 I sold as new once I had it replaced. Also had a new LMIII w no problems.

The two 12 combos had speaker issues and the 210 did what DTs amp is doing.

I'm not going to be at bass camp this year ( next year I will) but im interested to check out those rev cabs

I don't have a combo, just an LM II and it's been fine so far - in fact, I'm playing a gig with it on Sunday.

I'm interested to check out those rev cabs too, and plan to do so on Saturday morning.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight/tomorrow/Saturday.

I didn't have an issue with the heads either. Sold my LMIII last year or maybe it was 2 years ago, because I was leaving my amp where I practiced. Last summer I picked up the TH500. I'd say if it was a choice between the LMII, LMIII, or TH500, I'd get the TH500 every time.
Aguilar makes a TH350 which would be just about perfect for gigging in the city.

The Genz C3 has is also a killer head. Never heard any complaints in that one. ;)
