Yanno - I think in the grand scheme of things, it's not about the brand or how much it costs, but how it sounds and plays. If you don't love the playability and what you hear, you won't want to play it. So even if it was free, that wouldn't be worth much, IMHO.

I have really specific criteria for buying a bass, and price tag is not one of them. It's all about sound, playability, how good it feels in my arms, and WP-Factor. But then - I'm like that with shoes, gear, electronic gadgets, and cars, too.

Speaking of taking pictures...I was trying to take some cool bass and shoe pictures. I got my little area all set up, and walked away for a few minutes. This is what I came back to.
