I followed a similar link to be signed up for their new acoustic strings and was accepted into that recently so it seems like anybody who fills one out has a chance
Man I remember the days when you walked into a music store and asked for strings and they would say "All we got is these here" usually followed up by "Why you changing strings they break?" Today is a great day to be a bass player quality inexpensive gear and enough string choices to make your head spin I'm going to keep my eyes on the release of these strings.
I started on a 5-string bass nearly twenty years ago, and for a long time only bought strings locally. I'd ask for a 5-string set, of which there was typically only one option to choose from. I never even thought about what strings I was using, because there was no point. It wasn't until I started regularly using a 4-string bass a few years ago that I began to realize the wide variety of string choices out there. (And for 5-string too, had I bothered to order from a catalog!)
After spending ~$300 trying different strings on one of my 4-string basses, perhaps I was better off thinking I had no option...![]()
I bailed on the invitation when I saw that.Dam....they don't offer sets for 6 strings yet?
They do stay In tune better than others
... a new bass may be in order for proper testing.
That would be groovy! They said the strings should be in the mail in a couple of weeks.
