Hey @father of fires why did you opt to get rid of the "MOSFET BASS DISTORTION......" on the bottom of the face of the pedal??

Yeah, I kinda like it the old way. It looks more stylish and I like that it has "MOSFET BASS DISTORTION" and "MADE IN..." on it. It's just little touch's that make it look even cooler. But then I know some guys don't like even having any name brands showing on their gear. Can't please us all!!
My unit is #1 from Rev #2. It doesn't have the verbiage stating the full name and where it was made (I kinda wish it did) but it does have the yellow "MBD-1". At the end of the day and I just stomping on it with my foot haha

I think it looks cleaner. I felt like I was copping other people's style with the bottom text.
It wasn't true to my aesthetic goals.
I put it in there to explain what it was. But now that that's established I felt it served it's purpose.

I've got a lot of dirt on my board. Absolutely nothing comes close to my MBD and Gasoline. I love my Darkglass and Annex but if I had to choose, I'd lose everything but the MBD and Gasoline. I'm so happy I grabbed these two pedals when I had the chance.
Interesting. How does the Gasoline sound compared to (and in combination with) the MBD?
They sound nothing alike which makes stacking them almost a match made in heaven. The Gasoline is very transparent and fairly mild and when I kick the MBD on it brings in that heft and warmth. They are really good together. There are a few folks who have tried this combo and I believe everyone likes the results.
Gasoline into MBD-1 is my absolute favorite distortion tone. It's absolutely killer!

I know I was GAS'n hard when I learned of the Gasoline. It would be awesome to try/get one. But man am I horrible at waiting/timing it right on pedals like that that are boutique and not readily available! haha But I did get the DG X7 so with the arrival of that and the MBD onboard, I'm pretty friggen happy. But the Gasoline sure does look sweet.
I would love to try one of his amps too. I was on Reinier's FB page the other day listening to some clips of his amps. That guy does some marvelous work.

Reiner rocks! I have two of his amps: a Studio 1200 and a VHF 700, both great and very different from each other.
Sorry to derail further, but I love the B3K and B7K but not the Vintage, didn't love the AO that much. Where does the X7 fall in the DG spectrum?

The X7 is sorta like a B7K (yet not) but much more versatile in EQ and gain. The gain can get very barely there to ripping your face off and the EQ with the low and high passes combined really make for a hugely versatile pedal. Its got a voice all it's own IMO. Just like all the other ones do. I was kinda scared it was gonna be like a B7K with an LPF and HPF added. It really isn't in my eyes. It's it's own unique thing. It's great.

I love the combo of my Alpha Omega and X pedal, but sadly they kicked my Tech21 Oxford off my amp(it was one of my favorites, behind the A/O). I decided the A/O and X sound better by themselves.
I think the MBD1 is strong for many of the reasons I liked my Oxford, except it imparts that saturated Orange type of thing without having way too much character on its’ own - what I mean is it seems less muddy.
I also enjoyed the meatsmoke/MBD1 video on YT a lot(I didn’t like the Meatsmoke by itself at all though, which tells me the sounds I liked mostly came from the MBD1).
So now I kinda want an MBD1, but in white or that cool grey color. I guess I’ll be saving and hunting!
