Danelectro Daddy-o

Hey guys, i was just at my guitarists house, and he had gotten a new pedal. The daddy-o by danelectro. I noticed it had a bass control on it, so i asked him if i could try it out. He said "sure, why not".

So, putting my marshall guv'nor pedal (one of my secret weapons :D) aside, i plugged it in, cranked the bass, and began trying out some settings. I got such a perfect tone. I got 2 sounds that i liked: A warm tube-like distortion, and a warm sounding grit that sounded perfect. I was amazed at how this thing reacted to the dynamics of my playing. As soon as i started playing it when i had the first tone dialed in, me and him looked at each-other and said, "Man, you (i said "I") gotta get one of these to use!". So i plan to buy one soon. Anyone else have any good experiences with these? Now that i found this bad boy, i'm going to setting aside the guv'nor every now and then, even though i absolutely love that thing to death.

I have one, but sent it into JHS for their Guv'nor mod. Apparently it's shipped to my house, but I'm traveling for the holidays, so it'll have to wait a week or so. I didn't love it on bass when I tried it a year or so ago, but after getting the mod (in addition to changing a bunch of my rig) I suspect I'll like it better now. I'll update when I have a chance to try it out.

Cool. I've been using both the guv'nor (the actual marshall pedal) and a daddy-o lately, sounds great.
