Me too. Dunlops on my 09 Longhorn, with a hole drilled on the top horn. It's held for 8 years now. Screw hasn't even loosened up.
Dunlop dual design on every bass I own.
I predrilled the horn on mine. Has not loosened 2 years and many gigs, and rehearsal .
When swapping basses at a show, with the Dunlops on everything, I keep the wireless transmitter on the strap. Easy peasy .

Man, I sometimes miss playing that thing. Been a good long time since I brought it to a gig. But I hate bringing a lot of basses and Fenders and Fender style basses work for everything so I tend to stick with them. Dano gets some home use but everyone prefers Fenders and I'm in the people pleasing business.

Just yesterday at the rehearsals my bandmates (we play electric blues) said they prefer the sound of the Longhorn. I also have a Fender P, a J and a Hofner 500/1.

I've had similar comments from bandmates.

My three current favorites are my Dano Silvertone 1444, Hofner Ignition Club and DIY SCPB SS. I like them all equally and which I use depends on how I feel that day.

I’m a great fan of Jack Bruce since i was 13, but only since there’s the web i have known he played a Longhorn between the Fender VI and EB3 and saw it on pics and movies. I am lefty, and considering that currently is more easy to find a LH Longhorn than a LH EB3, i’m gone on the Dano. That’s also was ok for the price.
The stock D’Addario rounds sounded good (apart from that i don’t like the rounds feel) but i believe, hope i don’t go wrong, in 1967 the Danos had flat strings.
So finally i restrung mine with GHS Precisions, among the few shortscale strings which fit the Longhorn scale and tuners. Great tone and feel.
